Sourcing/purchasing has become a major source of economic benefits to most firms. This course provides a comprehensive look at this important area of supply chain management. This course examines the purchasing/procurement functions in manufacturing and service oriented businesses. Topics include sourcing (domestic and international), specifications, standards, contract and pricing practices, make-or-buy decisions, and relationship management.
