Program Information
This program prepares students to translate product ideas into engineering drawings and documentation using computer software. In addition, students will learn how to draw mechanical parts in three dimensions and use CAD/CAM software and equipment to produce parts. Instruction is included in software packages like Pro/E, Mastercam, Inventor, and Solid Works. Graduates are typically employed as part of a design team by manufacturing, engineering, and mechanical companies.
The Engineering Graphic Technology program offers an associate degree and one certificate option.
Scheduling and Entry Options
Program courses are offered during the day and evening beginning in the Fall Semester of each year. Entry during any other term will be permitted but may limit the courses that may be available. Full-time day students usually complete degree requirements in five terms. General Education course requirements can be completed at any time during the program.
