PHY 222 - University Physics II Class Hours: 3

Students may not receive credit for both PHY 222 and PHY 202 . This course is a continuation of calculus-based treatment of the following topics: thermodynamics, kinetic theory of gases, electricity, and magnetism, including electrostatics, dielectrics, electric circuits, magnetic fields, and induction phenomena. In addition to these topics, PHY 222 covers electric currents and circuits and motions of charged particles. Laboratory requirement supplements lectures.
Prerequisites: PHY 221 with a grade of C or better.
